The ‘Can Do’ Initiative: Managing Mental Health and Substance Use in General Practice is a national Initiative, funded through the Australian Government Departments of Health and Ageing and  Veterans’ Affairs.

The initiative promotes a ‘Can Do’ multidisciplinary approach to meet the challenge of mental health and substance use and focuses on education, training and networking between general practice and other health and community service providers, maximising the opportunity for development of effective pathways of care for people in the community with these complex needs.

The ‘Can Do’ online interactive training program adds a new dimension of training options, providing an alternative to face to face training for busy service providers.
